Addresses recordkeeping, reporting and notifications under federal, state and local regulations, specifically NSPS and NESHAP, and ties directly into ERP, work order, asset management and other general or energy-specific data systems and spreadsheets.
Houston, TX, September 3, 2009 – Enbase, a leading energy-focused technology company, announced today the release of its Environmental Automation System. Built with a Fortune 1000 energy services company, the system was developed to address recordkeeping, reporting and notifications under federal, state and local regulations, specifically NSPS (New Source Performance Standards) and NESHAP (New Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants). To comply, these rules require almost constant monitoring and recordkeeping of maintenance, overhaul and other operations-related activities. The regulatory components of the Environmental Automation System are woven into core business activities and day-to-day company operations, providing a central repository for all engine and asset related information. The system manages and automates all of the calculations, data tracking, alerting and reporting required, including status/applicability determinations, maintenance records and performance testing notifications and results. Enbase’s Environmental Automation System also ties directly into ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), work order, asset management and other general or energy-specific data systems and spreadsheets. By connecting to these systems, Enbase is able to create an automatic, bi-directional flow of critical operations and financial information between these data sources and the environmental system, eliminating the need for manual, labor-intensive processes to keep the system up-to-date. The system also integrates with FedEx so all federal, state and local agency regulatory notices can be automated, verified and tracked. Developed on the .NET platform and utilizing Microsoft Silverlight and SQL Server, the Environmental Automation System includes analytics, dashboards and built-in document management, knowledge sharing and task management tools. As regulations evolve so will Enbase’s Environmental Automation System. With the upcoming GHG (Greenhouse Gas) reporting rules in debate, Enbase is currently expanding the system to handle the necessary requirements and calculations. If passed, the GHG Rule will require any company emitting more than 25,000 metric tons of CO2e (carbon dioxide equivalent) to report its air emissions starting in early January 2011 covering data from 2010. Enbase also provides data integration and automation services to companies with existing environmental management software packages. Included with these services, Enbase provides an analytics layer between systems enabling data validation, aggregation and business logic to cleanse and transform the raw operations data into the environmental-focused information. These services help to provide the most accurate and reliable data available in real-time.
